Paul said in Romans 1:16, “I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes.”
We believe that the gospel of God’s grace offered only through His Son Jesus Christ should be the foundation of all our ministry efforts. The
message of grace is radical because it is unearned. A declaration to repentant sinners that because of Christ’s dying in our place, we are
declared sinless, spotless -- Saved! No process, no rule following, just believing in Christ’s finished work alone. “I have been crucified with
Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for
me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!”(Galatians 2:20-21)
Grace Redeemer is absolutely passionate about this message and believes wholeheartedly that God’s grace changes everything. His Grace
is the only thing that can change a human heart, and heart change should be the focus of all ministry. This message is not only for those
outside the church, but also for the people of God. We grow in Christ the same way that we are converted to Christ by applying the
gospel to every area of life.
Transformation beyond the heart and mind
Grace gives us freedom, a freedom to be real about who we are and transparent as we live our lives as sinners saved. “So Christ has truly
set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law." (Galatians 5:20). This freedom enables us to
live daily in His forgiving grace and loving acceptance. This freedom is transforming because it moves beyond outward behavior to please
men and into the surrender of all life to please God. Because we have to? No, because we want to.
Grace brings us into a new race. In Christ we are now adopted into a new family called the children of God. Our new race is filled with all
diverse people groups and His church should strive to reflect diversity of community in fellowship and ministry. "with Your blood You
purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.” (Revelation 5:9)
Grace propels us into worship and transforms our praises. In acceptance of His invitation to freely and fearlessly come before Him, we are
drawn into a worship that is passion filled, vibrantly reverent and celebratory in praise of our exalted God. Our worship is a blended style of
contemporary and traditional seeking above all else to glorify God. Our desire and goal is that all who visit our worship services hear and
understand this grace and see our authentic joy, so they then declare, “God is really among you!” (1 Corinthians 14:25)
Grace compels us into mission and ministry. Jesus left glory to bring us salvation by dying on the cross in our place. But while He lived
among us He expended His whole life helping, healing, teaching, and comforting all whom He came in contact. As recipients of His grace,
we are filled with His love through the gift of His Spirit and we now have the opportunity to give back our own lives to Him as we offer
ourselves to our community, region and world. “I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do
even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12)
